Hotel Handyman

The Glenmore Inn & Convention Centre, an AHLA 2015 Employer of Choice is looking to hire experienced an experienced handyman who is eager to join a positive and outgoing Maintenance team and is looking for an excellent opportunity for professional development. Position overview:

Primarily responsible for room maintenance including, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, wallpapering, tile work and painting as required. Provide assistance with preventive maintenance as required. Outstanding communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to make decisions in a fast paced working environment are essential.

Position Details:

  • Full-time; various shifts, with three days, and two evenings per week.
  • Wage commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience with common hand tools, and general renovations.
  • WHMIS training
  • First Aid certification
  • Previous hospitality experience an asset
  • Motivated and team orientated
  • Available weekends and evenings as needed (rotating emergency on call)
